MOTORING AFFAIRS.
IN NORTH TARANAKI. A spirit of progress and careful attention to the interests of motorists is evidenced in the annual report of the Automobile Association in North Taranaki. There has been a remarkable increase in membership, and after two years’ work, due largely to good organising bv Mr E. J. Judd, the total is reported as nearly six hundred. The work of erection of new signs, the provision- of camping grounds at New Plymouth, Onae-ro, Tongaporutu, and Waitara, log -sheets of the district’s roads, approaches to bridges and improvement of railway crossings and general attention to the improvement in oondition-s generally for motorists are features of the operations' of the association, and 1 show that the executive is alive to the interests of all and is out to help in every way possible.
