The official, estimate of area under • wheat this season in New South Wales is 3,057,000 ' acres, of which 3,331,600 _ are intended for grain, and the remainder will be cut for "hay.' " Copri - pared with last year’s, the area shows y. an increase of 96Q acres. Hevay rains in March, April and May considerably interfered with sowing, especially in the central and west districts. Harvest prospects are very bright, and .- it is anticipated that the average yield, will be 15 bushels. The State Cabinet stated that there will be no wheat pool this season. ;
