MANAIA CLUB. CLOSING DAY. A mixed foursome was played at Maimia on Saturday, which was won by Mrs A. G. Smith and Mr G. Watts. Driving, approaching and putting competitions were then he'd, at the conclusion of which presentation of prizes won during the season took place. Mr A. M. Hannah, lion, secretary, expressed pleasure at seeing so many members and visitors present ioi the olosin.tr day. He made special mention of the ladies’ and men’s championships, and commented favourably on the general! good form shown in both. ino champions are Miss K. Clague and All AY. Armitage. He reviewed the year s play, and called upon Airs A. H. Christie* to present the prizes, as follows: Ladies’ championship. —Miss tvC 1 Men’s championship.—Air W. Arnnapresident’s (Mr A. H. Christie s) trophy (a foursome). —Airs Alitchell and Mr C. Davies. Airs G. Aleuli’s trophy (flag competition).'—Alissi Elliott. Airs. Armitage’S' trophy (a rout some). —Airs Christie and Dr. Davies.
