PERSONAL ITEMS.

Messrs J. R. Corrigan and T. A. Winks, of Hawera, left by the- south express this morning tor Wellington, where they are to attend a meeting of the Dairy’ Produce. Control Board tomorrow. Mr H. D. Forsyth, of Eltham, the other member of the board from the Taranaki district, was a passenger by the same train.

At yesterday's meeting of the Patea Harbour Board, opportunity was taken to congratulate Mr J. R. Corrigan, a member of the board, on his election to the Dairy Control Board. ■ The chairman (Mr A. T. Christensen) said he felt, sure that Mr Corrigan’s intimate knowledge of dairy matters would render him a valuable member of the board, and he would be in a position to adequately represent the district. Other members expressed their pleasure at his election.. Mr . Corrigan briefly replied.
