DISPUTE OYER THE COOK. BY CABLE— PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received 12.25 p.m. to-day. HOBART, Oct. 4. The Union Company’s steamer Kakangu was delayed at Risdon owing to the failure of twelve members of the crew to report for duty when the vessel was due to leave for Port Pine. The vessel was to have sailed on Thursday, but a dispute arose over the cook and the sailing time was delayed till a new cook was obtained from Melbourne. There were not sufficient men available at Hobart to make up the total of forty, required to man the ship. She will be delayed till the missing men return.
