The petitioner, Mr. George Lai tig and his counsel, Air. J. P. Finlay, withdrew from proceedings when the Seddon Memorial College inquiry’ was resumed this morning, on the ground that it was impossible for Mr. Laing to bear the cost of proceedings, which might extend over a lengthy period.
