THE LITTLE GREEN HOUSE.
There’s a little green house in a field ‘ that I know— Sing flickering shadows and winding ways; . And there in the noontide I often go To play with the sunbeams and talk to -the favs.
There’s a little green house in the field by the brook — Sing .dainty breezes and butterfies’ wings; And there you may find, if you only will look, , The haunt of the birds, where the spring-piper sings.
Oh! play on the harp of the summei days bright, Came iark and butterfly, rabbit and mouse; How all the wild creatures will laugh with delight When I open the door of, my little green house. —Helen Douglas Adam.
