CINEMA FIRE TRAGEDY.

TOUCHING INCIDENTS,

BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, Sept. 14. There were .touching incidents toward the close of the Drumcollogher inquest. Eorde heard the proceedings huddled in a corner with Downey and the latter’s sobbing wife, who burst into tears and flung, her arms around her husband when manslaughter was mentioned.

The court was full of bereaved peepie, but .they seemed to forget their sorrow in the face of Horde’s and Downey's ordeal. The.coroner was overcome by emotion and tears and decided not to call further evidence, declaring: “We all know’ how it happened. We are all heart -broken. How can you iblame anyone? Ido not think it your duty to find anyone guilty.” The jury, however, retired and retdrned a verdict of manslaughter, with which Forde and Downey were later charged and remanded.
