ELDERLY MAN’S DEATH.
FOUND IN HIS WHARF. Just before noon to-day, Frederick Charles Dermer, aged 82, i©tired, _ was found dead in his whare ait Vogel Street, Hawera, which he shared with another elderly 'associate, Mn E. J. Lindgren, when the latter returned from town. It) appears both men had been working in the garden during the early part of the mo-rning, and; Mr Lindgren left the other to prepare lunch while lie want to town. On his return he found Dermer lying on the floor in the living room of the whare. Medical assistance was summoned, hut he was f-ouncl to be dead, and the body was removed to the morgue. The deceased resided in Hawera. for 30 years, having lived in thh whare in Vogel Street for about •14 years. Mr Lindgren came to live with him about three months ago when. Mr Dermer was in poor health, but he appeared to recover, and lie- had !>een making an effort to put the garden in good order before Mr Lindgren left him. t
