Those for the Caulfield Cup include Heroic, Pilliewinkie, Manfred Count Cavour, The Banker, Te Monanui, Amouuis, Runnymede, Affirm, Lirnerjsk, Naos, Battlement, and Star -^Stranger.

Nadarino and Humoresque covered half a mile together in 511-5. Wild Pigeon and Bourse did five in 52 2-5. Orchid in 501-5, Black Cat and Licinius taking 57 I—s, the former having a bit the lest o' if- ' Avola and Seatowu were companions over six furlongs, Sea-town being in front at the end in 1.18. • Vaward did five in 1.4 2-5, and Schorr four in 53 4-5. Paddon easily held Musket Vein in 1 51-5. Lysia-nder by ihimiself registered 1.32-5. . , , Civility and Kiosk left six furlongs behind in 1.16 3-5. Thaw beat Covent Garden over three in 37 4-5. Laughing Prince and Exhibition, did four in 5.1.

Aroheen nan five in 1.33-5. Auratium did half a mile in 52. Mask and Tanadeos went seven fur'iongs in 1.31 3-5, Mask going very well.

Rascal and Tanadice sprinted over two furlongs in 26. To Monanui, Mint Leaf. Royal Mint, Oration. Kipo and Pelissia and a number of others were given half to threequarter pace work.
