ONE VICTIM SUCCUMBS
ANOTHER IN CRITICAL CONDITION.
BY C.A.BLE —PRESS ASSOCIATION— COPYRIGHT Received 11.20 a.m. to-day. BRISBANE, Sept. 7. H. Grahame, the second victim of the Bundaberg shooting tragedy,, has .succumbed. Jean Fountaine. is in a critical condition and is not expected to recover.
As a result of domestic trouble at. Bundaberg, George Fountain©, a farmer aged 26, shot his wife, two daughters, and father-in-law, H. Graham©. A friend, J. Christensen, while going to their assistance, was also shot. Mrs Fountaine. recently left her husband and brought her two young children to reside with her parents._ Her husband visited her on Sunday night, and after a brief conversation commenced shootinor. According to the police, Fountain© told them that he bought the- revolver intending to shoot his wife and then himself, but he was prevented from shooting himself by the weapon • refusing to go ofF.
