BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION-CO WRIGHT Received 10.45 a.m. to-day. ADELAIDE, Sept. 3. As the Rt. Hon. S. M. Bruce was entering the Port Adelaide Town Hall, prior to embarking on the steamer Mooltan for London, a private detective, acting on behalf of a firm of solicitors, served upon him a writ, which was understood to be for £SOOO, in connection with a claim for damages for alleged slander, instituted by Mr. Seale, secretary of the Sydney branch of the Watersiders’ Union.
