TARANAKI TEAMS AT PLAY

Three Taranaki representative teams will be engaged in contest with Wanganui to-morrow —Rugby it New Plymouth, and ladies’ and men’s hockey at Eltham. In the other winter team game—Soccer—a provincial final will be played at Stratford, Hawera and New Plymouth meeting jn the deciding match for the Chinese Citizens’ Cup. For footballers and hockey players, therefore, to-morrow night’s, issue of The Star Sports Edition will be of absorbing interest, for full reports of -all games will- be printed, with the addition -of the Taranaki representative Rugby team to go on tour. . Racing readers will be presented with complete results of the day’s hunt club meetings at Palmerston North and Dunedin, plus the usual chatty notes by “Maecenas” and “Limit,” while it is hoped to include -also results of the Australian Jockey Club’s Warwick Farm races. A further instalment of the history of the Okaiawa Club will make a special appeal to old Rugby enthusiasts, while for the youth of the present day there will be -a review of the prospects *of the Hawera Amateur Athletic Club for the coming season. The general sports news, embracing both winter and summer games at home and abroad, will be of the customary high standard.
