THREE THAMES ACCIDENTS.

(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) THAMES, Sept- 1. A well-known resident of Paeroa, S. T. Silcoc-k, eged 46. who received Revere injuries by a- fall of stone weighing about two tons in a Paeroa. quarry, succumbed in the local hospital. While removing the grandstand at the Paeroa racecourse, IV. H. Tayuor, a well-known' contractor, received severe injuries to his face and head through being struck with a tool handle. He is reported to be progressing favourably. When chipping with a sharp axe ftt Wharepoa, E. Mitchell 'slipped. Tire axe caught hie left hand, severing his first finger and cutting the next two. The injured man is receiving attention at the local hospital.

A GANGER’S DEATH

AUCKLAND, Sept. 1. At the inquest concerning the death of Daniel Leslie Manson, a* ganger, who died on August 21 from injuries sustained while working in the Parnell tunnel, the coroner foiurd that death was accidental.

SHIP’S COOK COLLAPSES

AUCKLAND, Sept. 1. T. B. Welsh, second cook of the steamer Marama, collapsed on a seat in the ferry waiting room and died a few minutes after he was received in the hospital. His age was 58 and his home port Wellington.
