TWO AMERICANS TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND.
(by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 31. Two eminent' medical men. Dr. G. Pine>s, of Los Angeles, and Professor Morvnl Pierce, of Chicago-, will visit Now Zealand next February, when the Australasian Medical Conference will meet in Dunedin. To enlist the interest and' secure the co-opera.ton of American, medical mem in the conference, Dr. ,1. Hardie Neil proceeded, to Los Angeles on a short visit -and was successful in. obtaining promises of visits from the two medical authorities named. Dr. Pin ess is a recognised world authority on hay fever and asthma. At the conference in Dunedin he has undertaken to give a. lecture and demonstration, and moreover, has' offered to take a graduate approved by the New Zealand University into his laboratories at Los Angeles and give him a six months’ course free of charge. The other visitor, Professor Noryai Pierce, of‘tlie. University of Illinois, Chicago, is- also prominent in the medical world, and lie has undertaken to lecture on disease® of the head at the conference.
