NORTH SHORE DEFEATS WEL LIN ETON HOSPITAL.
AFTER EVEN GAME
AUCKLAND, Aug. 2Si The semi-final of the Chatham Cup was played at Blandforcl' Park before a good, crowd! in sunny weather, with the surface slippery after rain. Play in the first half was fast and exciting, Shore opening the scoring through Da ere. Hospital counter-attacked and after' lively exchanges, AndeTsou equalised and then Lambert put-, the Wellington team one up. Shore retaliated and; from a penalty Woolley had netted, Baxter evened the score. A few minutes later Palmer ran down_ the right- wing and Daere. again put North .Shore one to the lead. At half-time 'the score was: North Shore ■ 3 Hospital. ; 2 In the second half, play slackened off, -but both goals had some narrow escapes. In ’ t-h'e; last minute Hospital equalised. Extra time was necessary, in which North Shore scored. The final result was: North Shore . I Hospital 3
