PRIAIE MINISTER’S DEPARTURE

During the Mayor’s visit to Wellington this week, he was informed by Mr Coates that he would not desire a farewell function in Auckland, as he would not have time to attend it. He would' go direct to see his mother at Matakolie, return to Wellington, and catch the Makura on September 14. Mr Baildon states that in . the event of Mr Coates arriving at Auckland 1 on his return journey, about February. the City Council would: no doubt wish to extend him a civic welcome.
