WANGANUI BEATEN. WIN FOE MANAWATU110E0WHENUA. (IJY TELEGRAPH- PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WANGANUI, Aug. 21. The representative match, ManawntuHorowlieima v. Wanganui was played here to-day in fine weather. There was a large attendance. Wanganui won the toss and played with a fairly strong wind behind them in tho first spell. The play was fast mid interesting. In the early part the visitors scored a try after a pretty bit of passing, .Jacob getting over at the corner. The kick failed. Wanganui, playing with more dash than in any previous match this season, had the better of the remainder of the spell. Delves kicked a goal from a free kick at a wide angle and equalised the score. There was no further score in the first half. in the second half, Walker and Roberts scored tries, Jacob converting one. Wanganui had the better of matters in the later stages, but could not score, and a very well contested game ended in a win for the visitors by eleven points to three. PRIMARY SCHOOL REPS. PALMERSTON N., Aug. 21. Ma.nawatu primary school reps, today defeated Wanganui by 18 points to •3. WAIKATO DEFEATS NORTH AUCKLAND. HAMILTON, Aug. 21.
