The 'rebels evacuated and burned part of Quezalguaque, including the largest distillery in Nicaragua. The Government forces are conscripted, and there are no exemptions, They occupied San Marcos after a Sharp skirmish and the rebel losses are saicl to have been severe.

The revolutionists were badly beaten in the village of Tamarindo, on the Pacific coast. M’any were lulled and wounded and others are in flight. They abandoned ten machine-guns, seven hundred rifles, half a million rouvids of ammunition, and other supplies.
