DAIRY PRODUCE. Mr S'. Turner, (representing J. and J. Lonsdale and CL., Ltd., reports having received a cable from his principals, advising their weekly market report for week ended August 16, as under : “Butter steady, 172 s to 1745. Cheese, easier, 86s to 87s tor white ; 83s to 84s for coloured.” LOCAL STOCK REPORTS.

Messrs Newton King, Ltd., report: On, Saturday, August 14, we commenced the series of special Saturday dairy sales. A good entry came forward, comprising mostly back-country c-ows, and we report practically a full clearance at satisfctory prices. Good conditioned guaranteed cows niade from £lO to £l3 10s;, cows, .light in condition, £5 to £8; late culvers, £3/15s upwards; in calf heifers, £7 to £8 10s. Stratford Sale.—We report a, good yarding of store .stock which was eagerly competed lor under the hammer. Quotations: Forward cows, £3 13s to 425; good store cows, £2 7s fid to £3 Is; poor conditioned cows, £1 15s to £2; good yearling heifers. £3 2s to £3 16s; mixed coloured line. £2. In the dairy pens we report a heavy yarding and a. good clearnce. Prices were inclined to be a, little easier to those of the previous side, owing, mo doubt, to the quality of the yarding not being up to previous 'Standard. Quotations: Calved heifers, £4 15s, £5 10s, to £l3; (springing heifers, £5 5s to £8 two heifers on behalf of Mr. G. Kehely. £l2 10s and £ls; guaranteed sound dairy cows, £7 10s to £lO 10s.
