OPINION OF NEW ZEALAND AT HOME. (]3T TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATIOX.) , AUCKLAND. Aug. 17. The Hon. B. H. S. Abbott, M.L.C. of Victoria, was a through passenger by the Niagara. He said that in financial quarters in London they say that New Zealand can get any*money it wants, and in political circles New Zealand is held in the highest estimation. When in London lie was particularly struck by the very high position the Dominion holds in the estimation of the people who guide the destinies of the Empire. In London he said they think New Zealand has immense possibilities for developing hydro-electric power and utilising it for commercial purposes.
