MOTORIST CONVICTED OF NEGLIGENT DR,I Yi.XG.

The trial of Alfred James Dickinson, who was charged with negligently driving a motor-ear in Anzao Avenue on March 25, thereby causing the death ol Frank"- Wilson, a passenger in the car. was concluded in the Supreme, Court to-night. It was alleged that accuse* was travelling at an excessive speed (one estimate being 40 miles an hour), and struck a, train,ear.
The jury returned a verdict- of guilty with a strong recommendation to merry, taking; into consideration the mental, and bodily- suffering the accused had gone through and was still going through. •Mr. Justice Herdinran said, it was a most proper verdict, and the recommendation would have his earnest consideration.
The prisoner, remanded until Monday for sentence., was- himself seriously injured in the accident, and appeared in; court visibly suffering from the effects of a breakdown. He trembled violently throughout the proceed! ngs.
