SOUTHLAND YV A TER LOO GUP
(by TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION .) INVERCARGILL, July 30. The Waterloo Cup meeting was favoured by excellent weather_ for the second day, which went without a hitch. Some great coursing was seen, the lrares: being- in splendid fettle. The results were:-
Waterloo- Cup—Third round: Lupelight beat. Grand 'Slam; Pal o’ Mine beat YY’ilcl Time; Osterman beat IT.: Sure .Sting a bye., Purse—First round: Fleet beat Peggy . Pride; Overtime beat Hard Luck; Maori Boy beat Jack Tar; Dorian /beat Native Southern; Nurse beat Maiza; Miss Millie a bye. Plate —First, round: Moon Light beat Wild .Girl; Hopeful Comedy beat .Sea Prince; Rose of Picardy beat Happy Davs.
