TRIP TO MT. EMONT. WAIKATO' PARTY VISITS DAWSON FALLS. One of the features made in connection with the visit of the farmers from Waikato was a tour to Dawson Falls. Last night names were: taken by the local, committee of these, wishing to make tli e trip, and forty signified their intention of doing so. This morning two of the Egniont Tourist Company’s ’buses left- about 10 o’clock with tho party. At the Mountain House special luncheon arrangements were made. The members of the party had a most 'interesting time, and, despite the unfavourable weather condtiions, enjoyed the trip. Tire road was m good order, and the- hospitality for which Mr and Mrs Mui phy* are so w<ell known added to the pleasure of the trip. POINTS PRIZES. HONEY. The Show Committee Challenge Cup for most points in the honey section has been won by Mr. H. R. Penny of Okaiawa with 45 points. FARM AND GARDEN. Garden vegetables points prize—won by Ranguitea Home, New Plymouth. Field roots points prize—won by Nelson Hughes, Maxwelltown.
