HUNTING.
WAYERLEY CLUB. The Waverley Hunt Club held a most enjoyable run at “Gowaulea’’ —Air. G. Aiken’s property— on Saturday last This was the biggest “meet” ever held in Waverley, there being some one hundred followers of the hounds, and fifty cars “viewing” from the roads. The hounds were in splendid form, and many exciting chases were the result, one hare being killed. Some of the jumping was of the highest order, though saddle and rider parted company in several instances. At the close of the run the master (Dr. Simmonds) expressed pleasure at seeing so many followers, and thanked Mr. Aiken for the splendid arrangements for the day. Mr. Aiken, in reply, said it gave him pleasure to help the club in any way, and expressed his delight at seeing so many present.
