AUSTRALIA’S PUBLIC DEBT.

MELBOURNE, June 2.
■ The Commonwealth Statistician’s figures for 1924-25 show that the gross public debt of the Commonwealth and States at the end of June last amounted to £905,870,844. The Commonwealth consolidated revenue for the same period amounted to £08,854,809, and the Commonwealth public debt amounted to £430,948,002, of which £146,117,023 was payable in London.
