SIGNS OF STRUGGLE

MURDER OF DETECTIVES. POLICE DISCOVERIES. MEN’S BICYCLES FOUND. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 10.50 a.m. to-day: PERTH, May 25. Important developments in connection with the murder of Detectives Walsh and Pitman occurred when the police found tire bicycles of the dead 'men hidden in a clump of scrub, apparently just where the .owners left them. On Walsh’® cycle was a parcel of food, on Pitman’s a. water bap; half full of water. About five hundred yards away was found portion of a goldtreaitmen't plant with indications that a considerable quantity of gold had been treated. There were also signs fiftat a great struggle had occurred near the plant. There is little doubt that the murders were committed at that spot. [The. mutilated bodies of the two <le-tec-tiv-es were found a fortnight ago arfc the bottom of a disused mine shaft near the Cool gar die road.]
