NOTES ON THE ACCEPTORS
WANGANUI, May 21. (By Telegraph.—Special to Stair). At the time of telegraphing, the weather appears settled, ,and to-morrow’s racing should take place under good climatic conditions, aiid the course is such that the going will be quite good. As expected the acceptances are again good. On the good form displayed at Ggmont, Kilia will throve very troublesome in the Balgownie Hack. Over the shorter distance of the Grandstand Steeples. Puwhero is assured of a big following, and must take a power of beating, but Bustler gave such a .good display in yesterday’s event that he may-make the event interesting. Rangitahi won the Hack Hurdles very decisively yesterday, and can; be depended on to again run. well; in the Rata Hurdles, but Lucius may show improved forip in this race. The bracket Ngata and Brigadier Bill will be warm favourites for the May Hurdles, in which event Santiago null run wel 1 .
The Empire Handicap bears a very open appearance, and several appear to have excellent chances. Possibly Glenross and Kilceit will do well.
Yesterdav’s racing .should improve Joybird. which should do well in the Farewell Hack. Tukia and Roya l Damon both ran. solid races yesterday, and can he depended on to show up in the Winter Oats.
