AUSTRALIAN COAL DISPUTE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. SYDNEY, May 19. The Disputes Committee of the Trades, Hall has further considered the coal strike, but there is little likelihood of an earlv settlement. A meeting of the ironworkers’ assistants at the Clyde engineering Avorks, who are on strike, decided to leave negotiations in the hands of the Trades Hail Disputes Committee, a member of Avliick told the meeting that the committee might- instruct the men to return to work AA r liile negotiations proceeded. MELBOURNE, May 19. Over 2500 men in this city haA-e been rendered idle as the result of the coal strike.
