ENTERTAINMENTS.
HAWERA ORCHESTRAL SOCIETY. TUESDAY’S CONCERT. As was expected, the hooking for the Hawera Orchestral Society’s concert to ho held next Tuesday evening lias been very heavy, but as there are still a number of good 'seats available, intending patrons are advised to secure scats at the booking office. It lias definitely been stated that there will lie no repetition of this concert, which it is expected will he the best produced by the society, so that those unable to obtain admission will certainly miss a rare musical treat.
Tlie production of the concert has been most costlv to the society, and the engagements of Mrs. R. Rankin (soprano), Messrs Glaysher (solo harp. Ist) and J. -I. Duncan (baritone) have been secured. The “1812” overture, which will be the piece de resistance of the programme has been carefully rehearsed by the members,, and, for the final scene, the society will have the assistance of the Hawera Municipal Band.
