THE ROSE FUND. X Z. REPRESENTATIVES FOR BRISBANE. AVELLINGTON, Alay 6. The Rose fund lias reached £2050 with a- littie more to come. About two-thirds of the amount was collected in AVellinerton, and the Wairarapa Athletic Association considers the result to be very satisfactory. In view of the strain on the finances, the council has decided that it could not send more th an three men ter the championship meeting at Brisbane, to be ’held in August, at a total cost or £l5O. A committee, was appointed to select the three and to nominate others who mav be sent if sufficient money is forthcoming.
