Mr. Gibson, .secretary of the- Engineers’ Society, however, said the position .remained unchanged, and the men’s, notices to cease work on Saturday still .stood. The dispute at Lithgow iron works owing to the .men absenting themselves on May Day, has been settled, and the men resume to-moirrow.' /
