It will probably be decided to tunnel through the side of the extinct volcano, the crater of Which at present forms, the bed of Lake Nemi, thus emptying the lake. There have been many previous attempts to recover the ships, which the Roman Emperors probably used as a summer resort. They are believed to contain untold intrinsic and artistic wealth.
