WEDDING.

CONAGLEN—DUGGAN. An exceptionally pretty and popular wedding was solemnised at the ivlanaia Catholic Church on April 7, when Harriet Elizabeth, third daughter of Mr. and Abas W. Duggan, of imiha, was married to Wiliiani Roche, second son of Mr. and Mrs. James Conaglen, of Pihama. The Rev.' Father O’Dwyer officiated. The church was tastefully decorated, and Mrs. M. Long presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on her father’s arm, wore a, beautiful frock of cream satin charmeuse with pearl trimming. The veil, a beautiful tulle, was arranged in coro. net style with pearls and orange blossom. ' The bouquet, a gift of Mrs. Train, New Plymouth, was of maidenhair fern, roses, carnations, and choice begonias. The bridesmaids were sisters of the bride. Miss Alice wearing a dress of apricot satin charmeuse, and Miss 'Eileen bine satin charmeuse. The duties of best man were ably carried out by Mr. W. Duggan, brother of the bride, and Mr. P. Conaglen was groomsman. Afterwards a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, Inalia, where a sumptuous breakfast was laid, over 80 guests sitting down. • The usual toasts were duly honoured, Rev. Father O’Dwyer presiding. The bride’s mother wore a dress of navy blue marocain and hat to match. The bridegroom’s mother wore a dress of black silk. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a solid silver cigarette case, and the bridegroom’s present to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, and to each of the bridesmaids a gold wristlet watch. After the wedding breakfast the happy couple left for an extended tour of the South Island. The bride s travelling dress was of superfine brown cloth and hat to match.
