SHOPS DESTROYED.
BIG FIRE IN QUEENSLAND TOWN-SHIP. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 10.56 a.ml to-day. BRISBANE. April 27. Half the main business block in the township of Toogoolawali, consisting of nine shops and a hotel, was totally destroyed by fire. The town has no water supply or fire brigade. The damage is estimated at £15,000.
