Snodgrass from the Minister of Agriculture: “I received your telegram re the export of apples," and I must say that I think some better organisation is needed in connection with the control of the export. I have put through two extensions of the guarantee within two weeks, the last only yesterday, and, as you know, the Cabinet does not meet every day. However, you can rely on my doing my best. It is very gratifying to know that the Westport crop (if Stunners is exceptional. From all accounts the apple crop lias been surprisingly good.”
