SITTING AT MANAIA.,

The regular sitting of the Manaia Magistrate’s Court was held this morning? Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., presiding. Judgment was given iby default in favour of the plaintiff, with costs against the defendant in each of the following civil cases: N. Jones v. L. Rato, £4 ss, costs 13s; R. ,S. Craig v. R. Scott. £7 6s; , costs £1 17s Gd; same v. E. Dahl, £2, costs £1 5s 6d? same v. Aka. Manu, £2 2s, costs £1 13s Gd: same v. Ria.ngihu.na, £1 16s, costs 18s. Orders were made in judgment summons cases as follows: H. Sandiford (Mr. A. G. Bennett) v. H. Davison, £2l 13s, warrant to be suspended on payment of £1 a month, first payment to 'be made on October 1 ; Kaupokonui Dairy Company (Mr. B. Malone) v. W . Ken hard, £9 17s 2d, in default nine days’ imprisonment, warrant to. be suspended on payment, of 10s a month, first payment to be. made within a month.
