DISPOSAL OF 1 SURPLUSES. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 12.15 p.m. to-day. SYDNEY, April .'-9. The annual report of the B.A.W.R.A. directors states that taking Troth purchase prices of wool and sheepskins and the subsequent surpluses, the aggregate of funds distributed and yet to lie distributed amounts to £207,000,000. It has been suggested that, some of this money should be used for settling migrants on the land, on the lines of' New Zealand’s Fl.ocik House scheme. The suggestion will be put before a meeting of shareholders that £500,000 be set aside for national purposes, half of the sum to be used for training sons and daughters of dead soldiers for Australian country life, the other half for the establishing of a Commonwealth laboratory in Sydney for research work in connection with the pastoral industry.
