Professor Voronouff, at Florence, grafted part of a monkey’s Pancreatic gland into- two patients .who were suffering from diabetes. This-, is the first time that the operation, which lias been sueesesful in the case of animals, has been attempted! on human beings. Professor VoTonouff considers it will prove superior to tlie insulin treatment. He told the Florentine Medical Assembly that it should now he possible to prolong life to an average of 140 years. —-Reuter,
