The Manaia Municipal Brass Band has been engaged to play for the Kaponga athletic sports, to be held on Thursday. Attention is called to the Manaia Plunket Society’s stall, which will be open for business to-morrow. The object is a most worthy one and 1 should appeal to all. Donations of cash, cooking and pi’oduce will be received at Cosgrove and Co.’s shop. , The seven-a-side Rugby and Soccer tournament, which is to be held on the Domain next Saturday, promises to be a record. Teams are expected from all parts of Taranaki. The Hibernian sports committee Has everything in first-class order, and there should be some very exciting games. Great interest is being taken in the forthcoming annual military hall, which is to be held in the Town HqII on Wednesday night. This function will without a. doubt be one of the best balls held during the seasoWFverv detail is well in hand.
