A CHILD KILLED
TRAGEDY AT KAIKOURA (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 17. Details of the Kaikoura tragedy show that Pcnc Tahiu Green, aged 18, has been committed for trial on a charge ot killing Kathleen Pancta, aged three ‘ °The mother of the girl, Elizabeth Paneta, staed that her evidence given at the inquest was not correct. She and Green, who wore living as man and wife, quarrelled, and when they separated Green had walked away, and on her following him he threw a gin bottle at her which missed her and hit the child. ... Green made a statement m writing to the police admitting the deed. They had been drinking gin.
