A SERIES OF ACCIDENTS.

The annual motor-cycle races were held on the Napier Park racecourse today in ideal wpather. There was a record attendance, equal to the largest gthering for horse races. Large fields competed in the events, and the racang was most interesting. Four riders came to grief during Hie afternoon. L. Elliott (Nelson), in the light-weight championship, went off the corner, crashing into a fence, and sustained a badly lacerated leg and injuries to his head which necessitated, his removal to the hospital. A. C. McKenzie (Wellington) was tipped over in the same .race, but was not seriously injured. In the Perry Cup, L. Coleman struck a bad patch and came down, and L. Bransch, who was following, went over him. Th© former sustained a fractured arm and the latter escaped with bruises. Results: —- Novice Handicap, five laps —L. Ooulthard (30secs) 1. H.
