The autumn meeting of the Wellington Trot big Club was a complete success. The weather was favourable and there was a big attendance. The track was on the soft side for racing. There was a good totalisator turnover. The results are:— Improvers’ Handicap (harness), one mile and a half. —4 Steel Wire (Tro,nev) 1. 1 All Fours 2,2 Tui Wildwood 3. ’ Also started: 4 First Imperial, 2 Wee Gay, 5 Silvie Logan, 1) Bara Gold, 10 Pointcrwood. 7 Noble Dillon, 3 Little Iluio. Won bv three-quarters of a length with half a length between second and third. Time, 3.44. Beach Handicap (harness), one mile and a. half.—2 Shine- Soon (B. Edwards) .1, 18 Direct Todd 2, 3 Ariki 3. Also started: 12 Hope Dillon, 4 Denver Wood, 15 May Brown, 19 Lonsdale, 1(5 Beatty, 17 Airman, 14 Dillon’s Pride, 8 His Pal, 10 Van Rich, 11 Golden Bubbles, 13 Lottie Advance, 6 Bold Bill, 1 Zoloek Palm, 7 St. Fillan, s*Pearl Coronado, 9 Henry Logan. Won by half a length, with half a length between second and third. Time, 3.32.
Kaitoki Handicap (harness), two miles. —I: Hardy Grattan (E.. Maidnicnt) 1, Molly Audubon 2, 7 Some Jazz 3. Also started: S Hillgrove, 9 Miss Lida, 2 Black Palm, 1 Fancy Pronto, 3 Wakefield, 0 Sarsaparilla. Won by eight lengths, with six lengths between second and Third. Time, 4.48.
