DOCTOR ARRESTED.
ON CHARGE 4G YEARS OLD. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. NEW YORK, March 27. . A telegram from Asbury Park, New Jersey, says Dr. Irwin Osbaldeston, agedi 93, once a British Government physician, and owning private interests in Australia and New Zealand, is held awaiting extradition to New York State, where he is charged with stealing a horse and wagon in 1880. Yellowed documents, on which the arrest was made, alleged that Dr. Osbaldeston was then known as Edward Turner, and was sentenced to gaol, escaping before his penalty. The physician, who stated that lie is a son of a former Earl o’" Onslow by a morganatic marriage, and that he was reared by tutors in London with the then Prince Edward, alterwards King of England, said, “It is simply a case of mistaken identity.”
