WELLINGTON UNION AFFAIRS. BIG BUILDING SCHEME. (BV TEEEOBABTr PBF.PfI ASSOCIATION.') , WELLINGTON, March 25. The local Rugby Union has approved of a proposal to grade senior clubs, hilt only by a small majority. Opposition was shown on various grounds, the principal beinp- that the B grade would be looked on as merely glorified juniors. It was decided to proceed with the erection of a new grandstand at the Athletic Park, to seat over 6000 at a cost of £30.000. The structure was designed with wings, which may be omitted to reduce the cost.
