ELTHAM FIRE.
FUNERAL OF VICTIMS
„ A COMBINED SERVICE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Mayor of Eltham (Mr; I. J. Bridger) lias been successful in arranging for a combined funeral service and cortege for the four victims of the fire. The ministers of the various churches concerned have agreed to hold a combined public service in front of the Town Hall at two o’clock, and the funeral procession will leave the Town Hall at 2.30 for the Eltham cemetery. The Mayor is also requesting the business houses to close from 2 p.m. until 2.45.
THE INJURED MAN. .-.k EVERY HOPE OF RECOVERY. The, condition of Mr. G. Davidson, who received serious injuries in the fire, is unchanged, but there •is every hope of his recovery. It was reported yesterday that the insurance of £650 on the house had been effected through tlie New Zealand Office. The policy was one issued by the Standard Insurance Company. The furniture was covered in the A.P.A. office for £SOO. 1
