Medical interest has been aroused by Lady Fisher’s fast, which has been broken after forty-two days, ' during which she had nothing beyond water and orange juice. The superintendent in charge of the institution in which Lady Fisher carried out her fast declares that hunger after a fast is always for natural food. Lady Fisher was allowed diluted milk gradually working up to natural milk until a week has passed, when she will be allowed brown bread. Throughout the first five weeks of the fast Lady Fisher danced, took long walks and generally was physically active. She declared she was never better in her lifetime. Lady Fisher is the wife of the Secretary cf the Treasury.
