Briand, who has been nine times Premier of France, formed his Cabinet in 10 hours. Both these achievements are records. The complexion of "the new Ministry is Left, but is leaning slightly further to. the Right than its predecessor. The inclusion of M. Lamourex and M. Malvy assures the support of the bulk of the Radicals. It is noteworthy that M. Raoul Peret., who is now in charge, of finance, is a moderate, and is unlikely to propose any startling innovation ._ M. Briand momentarily considers the League crisis to he even more urgent than affairs at Paris, and returns to Switzerland to-night.—Renter. A STOP-GAP MINISTRY. TO ALLOW PREMIER TO GO TO GENEVA. FRENCH PRESS CRITICISM. Received 12.40 p.m. to-day. PARIS, March 10. Generally speaking, M. Briand’s resumption of office has created a good impression. The Figaro regards Cabinet _ as a mere stop-gap to enable M.
