The Sydney wool sales were resumed to day, the market ruling very strong at the best rates of the previous series, with a slightly better demand for super lines. There was keen inquiry for all sections and good clearances wore made. Greasy merino sold to 29-&d.
MARKET REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., reports We held our supplementary sheep fair at our Matau yards on Friday, the sth inst. A full advertised yarding was offered to a large attendance of buyers, resulting in a total clearance at full market rates. We quote: Medium 2tooth ewes 23s to 23s lOd, medium 4tooth ewes 23s 9d, fair f.m. ewes 16s 4d to 17s Id. cull ewes 8s 3d. 2-tooth wethers 22s to 22s 6d. forward 4-tooth wethers 235. medium woolly lambs 14s 10d. race shorn lambs 16s 6d, cull lambs 8s 6d, 4-tooth Romney rams 2gns to 21gns. f.m. Romney rams 14s to 235. cull rams 6s to 7s 6d.
