SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
AT MANGAMINGI
COMMENCING TO-MORROW. No, sheep dog club on the coast has achieved a. better reputation than the Takou-Matemateonga Club, which for a number of years has held its trials at Mangamingi. The club offers good trophies, and so attracts many of the best dogs from all over the province and even further afield. The meeting opens to-morrow at Mangamingi, and will continue for the two following days, when the excellent course will again be in use. It is acknowledged by experts to he one of the best on the coast. The entries are very good, and will ensure keen competition and good runs. Mr W. B. Mclntyre, one of the most successful competitors for many years, will be the judge. All arrangements for spectators will he of the best, and the catering will be in the canable hands of Mr Vincent, of Stratford. Three good and interesting days are certain. It is expected that there will he a large number of visitors from surrounding districts. Thursday will be People’s Day. The meeting promises to he one of the best in the history of the club.
